Jeffrey's Story

Jeffrey W. Pryor

Founder & Executive Director

Jeffrey Pryor founded Mobility Mountain with a straightforward belief: people with disabilities should have meaningful opportunities to experience nature without accessibility being an afterthought.

A U.S. Navy veteran, Jeffrey brings more than two decades of experience spanning federal service, facilities and construction management, outdoor recreation, nonprofit leadership, and public history. His career has included work with the National Park Service, Department of Veterans Affairs, U.S. Air Force, and Appalachian Forest National Heritage Area, as well as experience managing and working within public campgrounds and recreation settings.

Jeffrey’s facilities background includes supervising construction and maintenance operations, managing multimillion-dollar projects and budgets, and working within complex federal regulatory and contracting environments. His National Park Service experience further strengthened his understanding of accessibility, public lands, visitor experience, and public stewardship.

In 2023, Jeffrey was one of 12 veterans selected to participate in the Veterans Entrepreneurship Program at Oklahoma State University’s Spears School of Business. There, he presented the vision and business model for Mobility Mountain, earning the program’s Entrepreneurial Spirit Award for his pitch.

As Founder and Executive Director, Jeffrey leads Mobility Mountain’s organizational development, partnerships, fundraising, property development, and long-range strategy. His vision is to establish a nonprofit nature retreat designed specifically for people with disabilities, creating opportunities for outdoor recreation, connection, health, and wellness through access to nature.
